Lolitist Linguistics

I was having a chat with my linguist friends today and we decided something. “Nubile” is simply the sexiest word in the English language.

Nubile.

The growling nasal entry through the “n” just hints at masculine sexual desire, and the sloping diphthong of the “u” is just rounded enough to evoke a sinuous curve that rounds out in that fleshy bilabial plosive: “b”.
The “-ile” might seem like an unnecessary, almost scientific suffix, but it too fits perfectly. Think of the predatory smile that “i” makes and the lingering liquid “l”.
The “e”? Well, silent letters don’t count, but at least it makes the “i” long…

In any case, there’s a an entire sensual experience all wrapped up in the word. It’s got sound and meaning perfectly coupled.
It’s a thematic onomatopoeia, a signifier that captures its object and points to the ideal beyond it.
It’s three curtains of platonic perception in one word.
Nubile.
